What you all want to know is WHO is Cornish Crabbers LLP and WHY the change. So here we go.

Philip Langsdale visited the boat show in Excel - London January 2008. He came to our stand and placed an order for a Crabber 22, a very wise choice in my opinion! In November 2008 the news that Crabbers were in trouble put his love of the Crabber 22 and the whole Cornish Crabber following to the test. To cut a long story short, he loved the boat so much - he bought the company.

The most important thing about Philip is not his passion for sailing but the enthusiasm he has to make Cornish Crabbers the best. He has decided to take the bull by the horns and return to immediate production with the original core staff. Exhibiting at this year’s London Boat show we have secured new orders and the first boat from the new company started production today.

Philip has entrusted the day to day running of the company to Former employees Roger Cox ( works manager ) and Peter Thomas ( Sales manager ). When not thinking about his passion for sailing Philip is Chief Information Officer for BAA, a role that takes up most of his time.

We hope you are as delighted as we were when we heard the news that ‘Crabbers are back’. We need your help and support as current owners and future customers of new boats, used boats and spare parts.

We are developing this web site to help us support your needs. In time we will have a good supply of factory refurbished brokerage boats, a spares shop and links to associations and equipment supplier’s sites.

Happy sailing
