Crabber 26 - Twin Keels

Friday, 08 March 2013

For a while now we have been discussing options to allow our Crabber 26 to dry out level on hard ground. Drying out on soft mud is simple, the boat simply sinks in. On harder surfaces it is much harder to make a boat sit level. Now we have the answer. The simple addition of two optional bilge keels to the existing bilge runners allow the boat to sit perfectly flat on even the hardest ground. Their design allows them to be retrofitted to existing boats or fitted from new. Using CNC technolo... [Read More]

The RYA Dinghy Show at Alexandra Palace gave us the chance to show off our new dinghy, the Adventure 12.  This is the second time we have exhibited at the RYA Dinghy Show and our innovative new dinghy design doesn’t cease to attract attention. Adventure 19 hits the water! Adventure 19 hits the water!

Thursday, 07 March 2013

The first of our new Adventure range hit the water in February. The Adventure 19 was delivered to its owner in Lymington where we enjoyed two days sailing in a mixture of condititons. The first day saw lighter winds, ideal for the first sail of any new boat. The first thing we noticed was how nicely she slipped along in the patchy breeze, being slightly ligher than the Shrimper and having marginally more sail area, she was balanced and responsive. The second day saw some proper wind, 16-18... [Read More]

London Boat Show 2013 London Boat Show 2013

Thursday, 07 March 2013

The Tullet Prebon London International Boat Show has been under scrutiny for the last few years following a steady decline in visitors and exhibitors. We were in two minds ourselves as to how much investment we should entrust into the show as others brands were hesitant to exhibit.  The show opened on the Saturday and we were extremely pleased with the attendance. The new boats were attracting a lot of attention and as always the charm of our gaffers made them probably some of the mos... [Read More]

Cornish Clam

Thursday, 07 March 2013

Cornish Crabbers have always offered a non sailing version of the 19’ Cornish Shrimper called the Cornish Clam 19. The Clam 19 is an exact copy of the Shrimper but excludes the centreplate and all the rigging components. Whilst this is a great little river / day boat it has never attracted a huge following of true ‘motor boaters’ or fishermen. The new Cornish Clam 19 Wheelhouse, whilst still based on the Shrimper 19 Hull, has addressed the issues of open cockpit sp... [Read More]
